Registration Now Open for the 2017 Southern Labor Studies Conference

Registration is now open for the Southern Labor Studies Association biennial conference, to be held in Tampa, Florida, March 3-5, 2017. The conference registration form and the conference program are available online. Conference participants are encouraged to book lodging at the conference hotel — the Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore — by using the online hotel registration form, or by using code SLS317 at the website. A special room rate for conference participants will be available until February 9.

The conference will bring together academics, activists, students, attorneys, public historians, and archivists whose work focuses on working people in the U.S. South. SLSA defines labor and working class studies broadly, and the conference will focus both on historical and contemporary topics, across a range of academic disciplines, and will include regional as well as comparative and transnational approaches.

The conference program will be available shortly.
